Privacy Policy
Aisling Consulting Firms LLC ("Aisling Consulting," "we," "us") operates the website aislingconsulting.tech. This policy explains what information we collect when you visit, why we collect it, and what choices you have. We have written it in plain language on purpose.
Information you give us directly
This website does not require you to create an account, and it does not ask for personal information to browse any page. You share information with us only when you choose to:
- Email us. If you write to lindsay@aisling.consulting, we receive your email address, your name if you include it, and whatever you put in the message. We use it to reply to you and to continue the conversation.
- Book a call. Our scheduling links go to Calendly, a third party service. When you book, Calendly collects the details you enter, such as your name, email address, and any notes, and shares them with us so we can meet with you. Calendly handles that information under its own privacy policy.
- Connect on LinkedIn. Following a LinkedIn link takes you to LinkedIn, where LinkedIn's own privacy policy applies.
We do not sell, rent, or trade your information to anyone, ever.
Information collected automatically
Like most websites, ours collects some technical information as you browse:
- Analytics. We use Google Analytics 4 to understand how the site is used: which pages people visit, how they arrived, roughly where in the world they are, what type of device they use, and which links and downloads they click. Google Analytics sets cookies in your browser to do this. We look at this information in aggregate to improve the site. We do not use it to identify individual visitors.
- Hosting logs. The site is hosted on Amazon Web Services. Their servers record standard technical data such as IP addresses and request times as part of delivering the site securely.
- Fonts. Our pages load typefaces from Google Fonts, which means your browser contacts Google's servers when a page loads.
Cookies
The only cookies this site sets are the analytics cookies described above. We do not use advertising cookies, and we do not run retargeting pixels on this site. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings at any time, and the site will keep working normally. If you want to opt out of Google Analytics specifically, Google offers a browser add-on for that purpose at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.
Downloads and resources
Our free articles and ebook are available without registration. Downloading a resource does not, by itself, add you to any mailing list. If we ever add a form that asks for your email in exchange for a resource, that form will say plainly what you are signing up for, and you will be able to unsubscribe from any email we send.
How we use information
We use what we collect to respond to inquiries, deliver the consulting services a client has engaged us for, improve the content and structure of this website, and meet our legal and accounting obligations. That is the complete list.
Client confidentiality
Information you share with us during a consulting engagement is treated as confidential and is used only to deliver that engagement. We publish client results and testimonials only where the client has agreed to it.
Your choices and rights
You may ask us at any time to tell you what personal information we hold about you, correct it if it is wrong, or delete it. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under laws such as the California Consumer Privacy Act or the General Data Protection Regulation. We honor these requests regardless of where you live. To make a request, email lindsay@aisling.consulting and we will respond within a reasonable time.
Data retention
We keep correspondence and client records for as long as we have an active relationship with you and afterward for as long as we need to for legal, tax, or accounting purposes. Analytics data is retained according to the default retention period set in Google Analytics.
Security
This site is served over an encrypted connection. We take reasonable measures to protect the information we hold, though no method of transmission or storage over the internet is completely secure.
Minors
This site is intended for business audiences and is not directed to anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect information from minors. If you believe a minor has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.
Third party links
Our pages link to other websites, including Calendly, LinkedIn, and organizations we support. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those sites, and we encourage you to read their policies.
Changes to this policy
If we change how we handle information, we will update this page and revise the date at the top. Material changes will be reflected here before they take effect.
